The perfect little farm get-away !
A guesthouse with wonderful friendly hosts, on top of a hill, just 40km away from Oudtshoorn.
Originally the local schoolhouse, it has been renovated and features a large verandah with magnificent views of both the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountain ranges.
Your hosts, Dick and Mary Carr, farm with free range produce including chicken, eggs & lamb.
The farm is on the verge of receiving new status as a nature reserve with Cape Nature. Dick’s and Mary’s dream is to begin a breeding program for the endangered Cape Mountain Zebra population that lives in the Kammanassie Mountains.
Swimming is possible in the farm dams.
The cottage offers three options for accommodation:
– The Kamannassie Room is a double bed room with a full bathroom.
– The Swartberg Room has two twin beds and a shower, toilet and basin bathroom.
– The Outeniqua Room has a double bed and a bunk bed and has a shower, toilet and basin bathroom. Children sharing with their parents are charged a supplement.
Meals/catering:
Guests can choose to self-cater, bed and breakfast or be treated to dinner, bed and breakfast. Meal prices on request.
