Explorer Camp – Sanbona

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve lies a 3 h scenic drive away from Cape Town in the heart of the Little Karoo.
It is characterized by stillness, an air of isolation and boundless plains.

Explore the harsh landscape of raw and rare beauty, containing free roaming “big 5”, over 200 bird species, approximately 650 plant species and rock art sites dating back to 1500 years.
With the absence of artificial light, stargazing is phenomenal and rated amongst the best in Southern Africa!

Sanbona, often referred to as the ‘Arizona of Southern Africa’ and the spirit of the San people, invites you to explore a special wilderness sanctuary, offering five star accommodation at three luxurious lodges and a back to nature Explorer Camp adventure, surrounded by ancient volcanic mountains and endless vistas.
