Madikwe
A prime wildlife reserve with a choice of excellent luxurious lodges is the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve bordering the Botswana border.
The reserve lies ca. 3-4 hours drive from Johannesburg within a transition region between the Lowveld bushveld and the Kalahari thornveld, and thus hosts the species of both ecosystems.
