The Basse Provence Manor House is built in the elegant Cape Dutch style and dates back to 1855.
It consists of a double storey Manor House, a double storey Country Guest House and a two bedroom Country Cottage.
The suites are elegant yet you feel “snug like a bug in a rug” and the upstairs rooms lie under the cozy thatch roof. Breakfast is served in the elegant historic dining room, or weather permitting on the sunny garden patio with its fantastic views over the vineyards and mountains of this pretty valley.
The Manor House has a comfortable lounge with fireplace for the short Cape winter months and you find a tempting round swimming pool and 300-year-old oak trees providing shade for the long hot summer afternoons!

Rickety bridge restaurant next door provide nice meals or a gourmet picnic basket for a lunch down at the river. The village of Franschhoek with its many shops and acclaimed restaurants is only a short 5-minute drive away.
